Who is leading South Africa

Zapiro made a great cartoon today for the Sunday Times depicting Kgalema Motlanthe as a mere puppet in the hands of Jacob Zuma. My choice of political cartoon this week definitely goes to Wonkie though for their Bring my the head of Kgalema Motlanthe cartoon... absolutely brilliant stuff!!

Bring me the head of Kgalema Motlanthe
The number of ways you could spin the word head in the cartoon is amazing - head of the ANC, head of the cartoon character, head of a totally different anatomical part.. LOL!

Is South Africa the new Zimbabwe?

Check out the latest Zimbabwe cartoon on Wonkie and leave your comment. I'm not entirely convinced about the rate at which SA is hurtling towards becoming another Zimbabwe but I can definitely see the parallels there! How scary!!

Funny one-liners

Ok.. yet another site to help you waste time on a Friday! Check out FunnyWebSite if you're really bored. There are some great one-liners and general time taste quizzes and the like. Always amazes me how much people like to do personality-type tests!

Also check out some funny, super sarcastic commentary on outcome-based education in South Africa if you're feeling nostalgic about your school days.

Clinton and Obama sitting in a tree..

Amazing to see a complete 360 turn for both Hillary Clinton, 61 and Barack Obama, 47 in terms of their attitude and speech towards each other this week. Glad to see that US election humour has not dissipated too much since Obama won.

Obama appoints Hillary Clinton secretary of state - much to the dismay of some of his cabinet. As usual, the Whole Truth cartoon strip explains the deep, dark truth behind Obama's decision.
